The Ireland’s riders and horses led by world number 17 Bertram Allen gave a great beginning of CSI 5* Falsterbo week in Sweden very overwhelming, when take first, second and third place.
Always accustomed to showing his great qualities as the world’s fastest rider, Bertram Allen along with the nine-year-old gelding Izzy By Picobello (Cicero Z x Capriano) owned by Ballywalter Farms, set the pace in the speed class with a time of 72.84 seconds, to secure 50 World Ranking Points with his victory at € 25,000 Mountain Horse Prize.
The dominance by the Irish riders was felt in the first three positions, taking second place Thomas Ryan with the 13-year-old stallion Quite Zero (Quite Capitol x Landgraf I) in 74.62 seconds and third Shane Sweetnam accompanied by the 9-year old Main Road (Heartbeat x Irco Marco) in 74.76 seconds, leaving the two remaining places to complete the Top 5 with home rider Stephanie Holmen alongside the 11-year-old mare H&M Flip’s Little Sparrow (Robin Z 723) with a time of 75.02 seconds and fifth place was Swiss Janika Sprunger in time of 75.20 seconds with the 12-year-old stallion Aris CMS (BMC Nassau x Amethist).
Passing to the Pan American Ranking and Latino Ranking, the American rider Chloe Reid stood in sixth place, making a quick demonstration with the 12-year-old gelding Adamo (Lupicor x Ekstein) in 75.45 seconds and securing 25 World Ranking Points, while the Latinos Cassio Rivetti of Brazil, stopped the clock in 81.93 seconds along with the 9-year-old stallion Ulahop Boy (Lamm De Fetan x Kannan) in 11th place, also securing FEI Ranking Points.
