Olympic gold medalist Steve Guerdat took the win at the Albführen Grand Prix, representing the third time in a row that takes the highest honors of the Albführen Country Classic 2017.
The course designed by German Hans Dussler, observed 39 pairs in the first round and a total of 10 riders who completed the second round, of which 5 were double clear, but none faster than Swiss world number 11 Steve Guerdat alongside the 11-year-old mare Albfuehren’s Happiness (Heartbeat x Lambrusco ASK) registering a time of 42.245 seconds to take 50 FEI Ranking Points.
They followed in the final order Daniel Etter of Switzerland in second place in time of 43.56 seconds with the 11-year-old stallion I Am Samurai (Indoctro x Dollar du Murier), for third place Pia Reich of Germany in time of 45.53 seconds next to the 16-year-old stallion Magnus Romeo (Royal Feu x Hans Anders Z) and fourth place was also Swiss rider Niklaus Rutschi with the 9-year-old gelding Cardano CH (Chameur x Apartigene V. Schlösslihof) in 46.02 seconds.
For the Latino Ranking and getting the last double clear was Jose Maria Larocca for Argentina with the 9-year-old stallion Diablo Blanco (Chacco-Blue x Cento) in 47.47 seconds, securing with the result 30 World Ranking Points.
