Saudi rider Abdulrahman Alrajhi took the victory in the Acumulator to close the first day at CSI4* Abu Dhabi, beating German rider Philipp Weishaupt.

Accumulating 65 points in a class with 32 pairs at a height of 1.45 meters, the Saudi Abdulrahman Alrajhi accompanied by the 14-year-old gelding Qognac des Hayettes Z (Quartz Adelheid Z x Pilot) stopped the clock in 55.18 seconds to ensure 50 World Ranking Points.

Representing the first 2018 victory for Abdulrahman Alrajhi, the winner surpassed German rider Philipp Weishaupt, who showed up with the 10-year-old gelding Belo Horizonte (Baloubet du Rouet x Clearway) to finish with the same 65 points accumulated and 56.04 seconds, while third place was taken by previous class winner and world number 8 Henrik von Eckermann of Sweden, completing his field in 60.65 seconds with the 12-year-old gelding Artiste de L’Abbaye d’Aulne (Conquest van de Helle x Idem d’Azur).

The Top 5 finished were Abdullah Huamid Al Muhairi of the United Arab Emirates in fourth place, registering 65 points in their accumulated and 61.25 seconds with the 14-year-old mare Ulme de Feugeres (Quantum x Landgraph I) and fifth place was Khaled Abdulaziz Al Eid of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 61.69 seconds with the 10-year-old mare Ina van de Nieuwburghoeve (Nabab de Reve x Coriano).
