World number 308 Abigail McArdley was able to complete a fast jump-off with the 10-year-old gelding Chuck Berry 8 (Chacco-Blue x Watzmann) in order to secure her first 2017 FEI victory and first in the summer season at Tryon International Equestrian Center, with the Grass Complex being the stage for the $35,000 Tryon Challenge CSI 3*, where the winner took 50 World Ranking Points.

In a strong dispute during the tiebreaker of 6 classified, the second place was for the best representative of the Latino Ranking Alexis Trosch of Argentina, managing to classify even his two horses presented to the decisive round, but in definitive it obtained a time of 43.69 seconds with the 11-year-old mare Opaline Z (Obelix Landgraf I) adding 45 World Ranking Points and ranked fifth with the 9-year-old mare Cantara Z (Cadence van’t Gelutt) recording a time of 49.53 seconds.

Completed the group of the top five in third place the Canadian rider Erynn Ballard with the 9-year-old mare Thalys Z (Thunder VD Zuuthoeve x Denard) in 45.06 seconds and the American Marilyn Little in fourth place next to the 10-year-old gelding Clearwater (Clearway x Come on) in 45.36 seconds.

For the Latino Ranking led by the overwhelming exhibition of Argentine Alexis Trosch, Ilan Bluman of Colombia closed the jump-off round in fifth place, accompanied by the 9-year-old gelding EAX Run Run LS (Casall x Montebello La Silla) in a field of 4 fouls and 51.35 seconds.
