The second week of activity in Abu Dhabi concluded with the victory of the French rider Adeline Hecart in the dispute of the Al Shiraa’a Longines Grand Prix of the CSI 4* Al Shiraa’a International Horse Show.
With Two Rounds to determine the winner of the competition, Hecart number 254 of the world appeared with the 14-year-old gelding Pasha du Gue (Dollar Dela Pierre x Darco) and completing perfect the two rounds in time of 52.60 seconds to add 80 World Ranking points plus €15,500 for the first place, representing the best result in her career.
For the second place and with a slight lead of 2 seconds, Saudi Khalen Abdulrahman Almobty managed to make his two rounds with not fouls and recording a time of 54.31 seconds with the 10-year-old mare Zypern (Landos x Caretino), while the last clear round of the Grand Prix was Bahrain’s Khalid Hilal Al Khatri with 12-year-old gelding Awal BDF (Quidam of Revel x Linaro) to take third place in 56.96 seconds.
For the Latin Ranking the Colombian Andres Peñalosa finished with the best classification remaining in the 12th position, along with the 12-year-old stallion Tintin de La Pomme (Diamant De Semilly x For Pleasure) getting a first clear round and the second round with 13 fouls. Puerto Rican Maria Victoria Perez did not make it to the second round, after she knocked down a pole in the first pass with 11-year-old mare Quitana 11 (Quick Star x Lucky Lionell), unable to repeat her performance of the last week, where it was in second place.
