French rider Alexandra Paillot won the €50,000 Grand Prix Longines de la Région Normandie in time of 50.41 seconds.
Leading the jump-off round in a course designed by Frederic Cottier, Alexandra Paillot was presented with the 14-year-old gelding Blondel Polias (Desir du Chateau x Souviens Toi III) and secured 50 World Ranking Points with her second 2017 FEI victory.
While 11 riders qualified for the decisive round, Alexandra Paillot recorded the first of three double clear round, where the French took the top four positions. Second place went to Alexis Gautier with the 11-year-old stallion Siroco de Coquerie (Querlybet Hero x Papillon Rouge) in 51.70 seconds, third place for Edward Levy accompanied by 11-year-old stallion Sirius Black (Calisco du Pitray x Laudanum) and fourth place for Thierry Rozier with the 12-year-old mare Venezia d’Ecaussinnes (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Lys de Darmen) making the fastest time in 49.13 seconds, but with 4 fouls.
For the Latino Ranking Federico Fernandez from México classified to the jump-off, completing a field of 4 fouls and 51.88 seconds with the 16-year-old stallion Gitano (Caretano Z x Concorde) to occupy the seventh place, adding FEI Ranking Points.
