The French rider Alexandre Fontanelle took his first victory in the CSI3* Valence before his crowd to dominate the €25,000 Prix MMA et SFAM.
The two phases class on course designed by Italy’s Uliano Venzzani, home rider Alexandre Fontanelle had a comfortable lead over his closest rival after stopping the clock in 31.83 seconds with the 8-year-old mare Jussica T (Ogano sitte x Sandro) owned by Sonia Rajot.
Adding 50 World Ranking Points with his result, Alexandre Fontanelle outshone Irish rider Shane Breen, who appeared with the 9-year-old mare Csf Vendi Cruz (Ars Vivendi x Cruising) and finished second in 34.31 seconds.
For the next three places, the home riders were in charge of taking the results, finishing third Guillaume Fourier with the 8-year-old gelding Spike vd Withoeve (Sting vd Withoeve) in 36.27 seconds, fourth place for Thomas Leveque with the 9-year-old gelding An Amour la Goula (Lando x Lieu de Rampan) in 37.32 seconds and fifth place for Yannick Gaillot with the 8-year old gelding Viabolo du Park (Quidam de Revel x Apache d’Adriers) at 38.56 seconds.
By the Latino Ranking Colombian rider Rene López participated with his 9-year-old mare Destiny’s Child (Sandro Boy x Corland), being out of the FEI Ranking Points in the 32nd place, totaling in his field 13 faults in 59.85 seconds.
