British rider Amanda Derbyshire took the FEI third class of the CSI4* Liverpool International Horse Shoe by winning the €24,600 Horseware Ireland.
Representing the first British victory of the Liverpool International Horse Show, Amanda Derbyshire managed to guide a group of 11 jump-off classified riders, completing her course in 33.30 seconds with the 9-year-old mare Luibanta BH (Luidam x Abantos) owned by Gochman Sport Horse.
Adding Amanda Derbyshire 50 World Ranking Points with her victory, she surpassed the previous class winner Shane Breen of Ireland, who was presented this time with the 9-year-old stallion Ipswich van de Wolfsakker (Carembar de Muze x Quick Star), finishing in 33.79 seconds and also Irish rider Conor Swail was third with the 9-year-old gelding Domino van de Valhoeve (Lord Z x Concorde) in 34.28 seconds.
While the double clear round extended to seventh place, the Whitaker family was in charge of occupying the fourth and fifth place for Top five classifieds, where Robert Whitaker with the 14-year-old gelding Catwalk IV (Colman x Corleone) finished in 34.32 seconds and fifth John Whitaker accompanied by the 9-year-old mare Leen OL (Berlin x Kannan) in 35.03 seconds.
By Pan American Ranking Andrew Kocher of the United States of America could not make a good presentation, being this time in 27th place with the 13-year-old stallion Quarto Mail (Cardento x Alligator Fontaine) totaling 13 fouls.
