Polish rider Andrzej Oplatek shone at home to win the Grand Prix President of Poznan and valid for the World Cup Qualifier of CSI3* Poznan.
With the participation of 50 riders in the Poznan Grand Prix on course designed by Andrea Colombo of Italy, the home rider Andrzej Oplatek led the group of 17 riders classified to the jump-off and recording a time of 36.67 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Copperfield 40 (Contendro I) ensured his victory.
Completing a perfect course and attached to his strategy by Polish rider Andrzej Oplatek, he took 50 World Ranking Points and important World Cup points for the classification, beating in close fight to German rider Philip Rüping with his 10-year-old mare Clinta (Clinton) completing his round in 36.81 seconds and third place Urmas Raag from Finland marked a time of 37.78 seconds with the 9-year-old mare Ibelle van de Grote Haart (Verdi).
The last double clear round came with the performance of German rider Thomas Brandt with the 9-year-old mare Kia V (Heartbeat) occupying the fourth place, to finish in 41.55 seconds.
For his part the Swiss Olympic medalist Pius Schwizer recorded the second fastest time of the tiebreak, allowing him to finish in fifth place with the 10-year-old gelding Balou Rubin R (Balou du Rouet), but he knocked down a pole for 4 fouls in 34.57 seconds. The best time of the jump-off was for the first day’s winner Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski of Poland, marking on blackboard a time of 34.27 seconds with 8 fouls next to the 8-year-old mare Chacclana (Chacco-Blue) in 11th place.
