With the participation of 61 pairs on CSI 5 * Longines Spring Classic of Flanders – Jumping Lummer’s third day of competitions, Irish rider Anthony Condon stopped the clocks in 45.08 seconds in the tiebreaker, becoming with 11-year-old gelding Balzac (Oklund x Frisbee Kerellec) that only ones to completed their two courses perfectly.
Leading a group of 5 riders for course design of Belgian Eugène Mathy, Anthony Condon claimed 50 World Ranking points plus €6,250 per win, being escorted in second place by Swedish rider Angelie Von Essen and 13-year-old gelding Bydalens Qamaieu de Monysec (For Pleasure x Sable Rose) getting a better time in 44.54 seconds, but with 4 fouls. For third place the Italian Juan Carlos Garcia sprayed the clock in 43.88 seconds with 11-year-old stallion Gitano V Berkenbroeck (Nabab de Reve x Ti Amo van het Lambroeck) knocking down two poles, which would definitely leave him with no chance.
