British rider Ben Maher completed a formidable jump-off round to win the €25,000 Prix MMA at CSI3* Valence.

Being the first FEI class of the CSI3* Valence in France and course designed by the Italian Uliano Vezzani, Ben Maher with his 12-year-old mare Diva II (Kannan x Berlioz) owned by Ben Maher & Tatiana Korsakova, completed their jump-off round in 39.07 seconds and took 50 World Ranking Points.

With a total of 42 pairs and 10 riders classified to the jump-off, Ben Maher outclassed France’s Thierry Rozier, who appeared with the 12-year-old mare Venezia d’Ecaussinnes (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Lys de Darmen), completing his round with 39.52 seconds and third place was for the also British Laura Renwick along with the 14-year-old stallion Van de Vivaldi (Vivaldi van de Kempel x Golden Joy J) in time of 39.57 seconds.

For Latino Ranking his two representatives and both Colombians managed to add World Ranking Points, Carlos López being the best placed in 11th place with the 9-year-old gelding Ivoor van T Paradijs (Quadrillo x Indoctro) in time of 80.88 seconds plus 1 penalty for exceed the allowed time, thus failing to qualify for the tiebreaker. Rene López finished 14th with the 9-year-old mare Destiny’s Child (Sandro Boy x Corland), completing his field in 4 fouls and 73.52 seconds.
