The French domination continues in the Oliva Spring MET 2017 with the victory of Benjamin Robert and the 9-year-old mare Unifity Bois Margot (l’Arc de Triomphe x Darco) owned by Giuseppe Porporato, disputing the speed class in the Valencia Arena.
With 54 pairs competing in the class, the French will add their third win of a total of four for their country in FEI class competitions, where Robert completed his presentation in 60.28 seconds to take 50 World Ranking points and maintaining a relatively comfortable advantage of almost 2 seconds against Britain’s Holly Smith and her 9-year-old stallion Quality Old Joker, who finished their round in 62.10 seconds.
The Top 5 finisher was Spain’s Laura Roquet Puignero in third place with 13-year-old gelding Quilate Del Duero (Ephebe For Ever) in time of 63.26 seconds, followed by fourth-placed Italian Filippo Marco Bologni and Quidich de La Chavee (President x Apache d’Adriers) registering 63.50 seconds and in the fifth position was occupied by the German rider Janne Friederike Meyer with the 10-year-old mare Chloe (Chippendale Z x Quicksilver) in 64.18 seconds.
For the Latin Ranking and Pan Am Ranking the Chileans Bernardo Naveillan and Tomas Couve Correa was the best results, but both being out of the World Ranking points with better positioned Naveillan and the 8-year-old mare Daisy du Grand Moustier (Quaser de l’Ile x Fidji du Fleury) in 23th with 4 fouls and Couve Correa appearing with 10-year-old gelding To Jump of Kerglenn (Cassini II x Diamant of Semilly) totaled 13 faults in the 44th place.
