For the first class in dispute in the CSI5* Longines Hong Kong Masters Irish Bertram Allen managed to score the first victory in a 2016 start season that has given good results, remaining at the present time as number 9 in the world.
About 12-years-old gelding Quiet Easy 4 (Quidam’s Rubin x Zapateado) owned by Quainton Stud, Allen drove masterfully and effectively for a winner round in time of 36.83 seconds and beat narrowly to 9/100 of second Finnish rider Anna-Julia Kontio and Pacific des Essarts (Diamant de Semilly x totoche du Banney) a 13-years-old stallion owned by Kontio itself, completing his winners round in time of 36.92 seconds to take second place.
The top five of the competition completed two Britons and a Dutch not very distant time scrounged by the winner, the third place of Laura Renwick and Bintang II (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Orlando) 10-years-old gelding stoping the clock at 37.77 seconds, the fourth was veteran John Whitaker on the 12-years-old gelding Lord of Arabia (Cassini II x Carry) owned by P. Sultan Saud, to end at clear round in the winner round and 38.20 seconds, while fifth place was Maikel van der Vleuten with 11-years-old mare VDL Groep Arera C (Indoctro x Voltaire) in time of 38.35 seconds.
With the result the winner Bertram Allen take 80 FEI World Ranking points and a bag of cash of $31,350.
