The fasted Irishman Bertram Allen guided his country’s riders to a perfect one-two-three during the € 85,000 Falsterbo Derby presented by Gigantprint.
Again the world number 17 Bertram Allen gets a good result and with it adds 15th 2017 FEI victories, being now the main figure of the Derby next to the 8-year-old gelding Christy Jnr (Indoctro x Clinton I) owned by Ballywalter Farm, for ensure 80 World Ranking Points.
The class that needed a jump-off between 4 riders, winner Bertram Allen left no chance among his rivals and set a time of 49.31 seconds, leading the total Irish dominance with the first of three double clear rounds with Shane Sweetnam, who took the second place with the 9-year-old mare Indra van de Oude Heihoef (Casantos x Action-Breaker) in 50.02 seconds and for third place, Olympic bronze medalist Cian O’Connor recorded a time of 51.20 seconds with the 12-year-old stallion Copain du Perchet CH (Conteur x Ragazzo).
The fourth and last place to participate for the jump-off was home rider Peder Fredricson with the 9-year-old gelding H&M Carat Desire (Carinjo x Latus II), getting a good time of 49.62 seconds, but with 4 fouls.
For the Pan American Ranking, Alison Robitaille of the United States participated with the 11-year-old mare Serise du Bidou (Gin Tonic Star x Fusain du Defey), accumulating 8 fouls in 176.18 seconds occupying eighth place.
