Pedro Veniss, riding Amemoi O Sandor, has won the Negrita Cup, the first competition of the third day of CSIO Barcelona. In a two phases competition of 1.45 meters, the Brazilian rider was fastest, ahead of Italian Luca Maria Moneta, with Jesus de La Commune, and Henrik Von Eckermann, from Sweden, riding For Sale 6. The best Spanish competitor was Sergio Álvarez Moya, who finished ninth on Red Star d’Argent.
In the second competition of the day, the Estrella Damm Trophy, the German Marco Kutscher came out fastest, with Liberty Son 2. The podium was completed by Australian James Paterson-Robinson (Boris III) and Belgian Dirk Demeersman (Stb Fleuri Van de Kokelberg). Paola Amilibia, in fourth position on Don Juan, has achieved the highest position of a Spanish competitor up to this point in the competition.
