The conclusion of XXIII Sunshine Tour 2017 had an exciting class in the dispute of the Invitational GP and British victory, thanks to Guy Williams with 14-year-old gelding Depardieu van T Kiezelhof (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Latano).
The 46-year-old rider world number 197 at the moment was getting a quick jump-off to stop the clock in 41.28 seconds and win a prize of €25,000 plus 100 World Ranking points, surpassing by only 13 hundredths of seconds to Fabienne Daigneux-Lange of Belgium and her 12-year-old mare Venue D’Fees des Hazalles (President x Alcatraz), who got a time of 41.41 seconds while the Irishman Dermott Lennon with 15-year-old mare Loughview Lou-Lou (Limerick x Jack Of Diamonds), completed his round in 42.75 seconds.
For the Latin Ranking Colombian Dayro Arroyave was out of the 8 jump-off classified, but if he managed to add 15 FEI Ranking points with 9-year-old gelding Uciano de La Botte (Luciano x Aepege Pierreville) in a presentation of 4 fouls with 82.09 seconds for the regular round and finish in 13th place.
