New Zealand rider Bruce Goodin stood out in the Energochemica Trophy to take the victory, in the continuation of the CSI4* Samorin.
The class that had the participation of 34 regular round pairs, everything was decided in the tie-breaker round under course design by Italian Uliano Vezzani’s and 9 riders classified led by Bruce Goodin.
Starting the decisive round, the New Zealander rider Bruce Goodin accompanied by the 11-year-old stallion Chagrannus (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) owned by Glen Nielsen, recorded an unbeatable time of 35.02 seconds to ensure equally 50 World Ranking points with his victory and was escorted in second place by Polish rider Jaroslaw Skyrzyczynski with his 8-year-old gelding Silver Shine (Califax x Balou du Rouet), being his time of 36.15 seconds.
The double clear round extended to fifth place, where British Amazon Jessica Mendoza was third with the 9-year-old gelding Toy Boy in 36.86 seconds, fourth place Dutchman Kevin Jochems with the 8-year-old gelding Estoril (Calvaro Z x Concorde) in 37.36 seconds and fifth place world number 6 Harrie Smolders of Holland in 4 fouls with 36.00 seconds accompanied by the 10-year-old mare Corrada (Oklund x Lauriston).
The Latino Ranking delegation had the Argentine rider José María Larocca finishing within World Ranking points with his 14th place, resulting in a 4 fouls regular round in 74.87 seconds with the 11-year-old stallion Gaucho Da Quinta (Cicero Z van Paemel x Upsilon vd Heffinck), while the former Latino Ranking leader Marlon Modolo Zanotelli of Brazil with the 8-year-old gelding El Dorado (Indorado x Heartbreaker) retired.
