The final class of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Chantilly event, the Airbus Group Masters, was won by Ireland’s Cameron Hanley with Antello Z who rode a strategic jump-off round to finish top of the class. Second went to Kent Farrington (USA) and Gazelle, and third to Jane Richard Philips (SUI) and Dieudonne de Guldenboom – Jane’s third third placing of the show!

Of the 45 starters, a remarkable 22 went clear in the first round. Course designer Uliano Vezzani upped the ante in the jump-off, using a tricky combination line across the middle of the arena and two tight turn backs to sort the best from the rest in the talented field. Hanley had the good fortunate to be late in the draw, but his round was neat and confident, and proved unbeatable. The Irishman was clearly very happy with his victory, smiling and waving to the appreciative crowd.

Throughout the show the stands have been filled with cheering crowds supporting the best riders in the world as they battled for supremacy in the ninth round of the Championship. As we prepare for the next round in Holland this coming weekend, the ranking reflects how close the race has been throughout the season with a different winner at every Grand Prix.
