The former World Ranking Leader Christian Ahlmann of Germany was superior at home to prove the victory of the Championat of Leipzig.
Rounding out world number 17 Christian Ahlmann a formidable jump-off with his 13-year-old mare Ailina (Chico’s Boy x Cowondo Z) owned by Schwizer Pius & Renner Rüdiger, taking the victory and a car as part of the first prize plus points to the World Ranking in time of 34.19 seconds.
Starting an excellent 2018 FEI victories to Christian Ahlmann for the second day of the CSI5* Partner Pferd Leipzig, the second place ended up in the power of also German rider Mario Stevens with the 17-year-old stallion Credo (Caretino x Silvester) in time of 35.75 seconds and the last double clear round was completed by Irish rider Denis Lynch with the 12-year-old gelding Alcazar Sitte (Rexar du Houssoit x Reve Nabab) in 35.96 seconds.
The 8 riders’s jump-off round on court designed by Fran Rothenberger, ultimately had as best Top 5 Marcus Ehning of Germany in fourth place with 12-year-old mare Cristy (Canturo x Landlord) in 4 fouls and 34.72 seconds, while fifth place was also German rider Gerrit Nieberg with the 14-yeaold stallion Contaggio (Colman x Lordanos) in 4 fouls and 37.30 seconds.
By Pan American Ranking Reed Kessler finished 25th to be the best placed with the 12-year-old mare Christy 3 (Christiano x Arpeggio) totaling 5 fouls, followed by two representatives of the Latin Ranking with Yuri Mansur of Brazil ranked 28th with 8 fouls next to the 10-year-old mare Tinkerbell 31 (Incolor x Argentinus) and Carlos López from Colombia recorded 12 faults in 44th place with the 10-year-old mare Ulhane de Conde (Jarnac x Corland).
