Christian Ahlmann again becomes the big winner of a Grand Prix in his country this 2016, being a prophet in his own land, to win the cup in the VR Classics-Neumünter with Codex One.
As the prize pool of 50,250 Euros, Ahlamnn number 6 in the world commanded a jump-off of 13 Classified in time of 33.99 seconds with 14-year-old stallion Codex One (Contendro I x Glueckspilz) owned by Marion u.Isabell Jauss to score his second win of the week and eighth in 2016.
Things were not so simple for the winner, who had to overcome a tough fight against the Dutch representative Gert-Jan Bruggink and 13-year-old gelding Vampire 6 (Marome x Voltaire) owned by Marleen Bruggink, completing his jump-off round in time of 34.04 seconds, just five hundredths of a second behind the German. Another German finish in third place with a time of 35.50 seconds, it was Denis Nielsen and 10-year-old stallion DSP Cashmoaker (Calido I x Lafitte). Completing the group of the top five with the Swedish Peder Fredricson ranking fourth in the company of H & M All in (Kashmir van het Schuttershof x Fortune) in clear round and time of 35.66 seconds, while the fifth would be the Austrian Max Kühner and Chardonnay 79 (Clarimo x Corrado I) a 9-year-old stallion owned by Kühner.
For the PAEC Ranking delegation was present only one participant in the Grand Prix and ranking eighth Brazilian Yuri Mansur completed the fastest tiebreak round in 33.68 seconds, but knocked down a rail totaling 4 fouls with 10-year-old mare Babylotte (Dollar du Murier x Concorde) owned by Mansur and Euro Stables.
