World number 7 German rider Christian Ahlmann repeated for the closing of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Berlin, adding his second victory of the Tour.
After winning yesterday’s Grand Prix, today Christian Ahlmann sentenced in the jump-off round with the 14-year-old stallion Colorit (Coriano x Capitol) owned by Klaus Isaak, take his second victory in a row in the €92,000 Championat der Deutschen Kreditbank AG von Berlin, securing 100 World Ranking Points.
With a time of 38.98 seconds, Christian Ahlmann got his second win of the 2017 LGCT in a hard fight with 10 classified runners. Second place was Italian rider Alberto Zorzi with the 13-year-old mare Contanga 3 (Catoki x Contango) recorded a time of 40.17 seconds and for third place Dutch rider Harrie Smolders accompanied by the 12-year-old stallion Capital Colnardo (Colman x Coronado) got a time of 41.12 seconds.
The last double clear round was achieved by Swedish rider Evelina Tove with the 9-year-old gelding Castello 194 (Cristallo x Lifestyle) in 43.73 seconds, while fifth place and stoping the clock in 37.80 seconds with the fastest jump-off’s time, Britain’s Ben Maher squandered the win alongside the 14-year-old stallion Tic Tac (Clinton x Darco) when they knocked down a fence to total 4 fouls.
For the Pan American Ranking, US rider Jessica Springsteen was in seventh place with the 14-year-old mare Davendy S (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Pachat II) in a field of 4 fouls and 38.35 seconds in the jump-off.
By the Latino Ranking Emanuel Andrade from Venezuela managed to score World Ranking Points, finishing his regular round in 4 faults and 59.87 seconds with the 12-year-old mare Reus de la Nutria (Zandor Z x Kannan) in 13th place.
