Olympic bronze medalist Cian O’Connor of Ireland took victory at the Prize of StädteRegion Aachen for the closing of the first day at CHIO Aachen.

For third place and represented to the Pan American Ranking, the world number 17 Laura Kraut completed her two phases effectively with the 14-year-old mare Whitney (Indoctro x Concorde), achieving a time of 37.45 seconds that earned her 40 World Ranking Points. The Italian rider Juan Carlos Garcia seized the fourth place next to the 13-year-old stallion Zilver (Clinton x Baloubet du Rouet) in 38.12 seconds and closed the Top 5 the American rider Lauren Hough with the 14-year-old gelding Waterford (Coolcorron Cool Diamond x Julio Mariner XX) in 38.43 seconds.
For the Latino Ranking Federico Fernandez from Mexico was able to add World Ranking points in 13th place, completing his two phases in 45.78 second alongside 15-year-old gelding Landpeter Do Feroleto (Landritter x Wangmix).
