For the second week in a row, Constant van Paesschen takes the win at the Spring MET 2017 Grand Prix.
Being the second week of activities in the season of the Spanish circuit, the Belgian rider was elevated with the triumph this week of the CSI 3* Gold 4 Grand Prix, after last week it did in the CSI 2* Grand Prix, repeating with the 9-year-old stallion Isidoor van de Helle (Canturo x Qredo de Paulstra) owned by Stoeterij Van De Lhelle.
Completing his jump-off spot in 46.29 seconds, van Paesschen was able to score 50 FEI Ranking points, followed in second place by Frenchman Philippe Leoni and 11-year-old mare Shana de Kerglenn (Diamant de Semilly x Baussy’s Quito) in time of 47.66 seconds, while New Zealand’s Samantha Mcintosh represented the last double clear round of the competition with the 14-year-old stallion Check In 2 (Böckmann’S Cordalme Z x Lord Pezi) in 49.04 seconds. The best time in the jump-off round with 6 qualifiers was for Frenchman Harold Boisset in 42.01 seconds to finish fourth with the 11-year-old Quolita Z (Quasimodo Z x Ramiro) with 4 fouls.
For the Latin Ranking only the Argentine Carlos Cremona participated completing a field of 16 fouls in the regular round with 12-year-old mare Flavourart Cortina (Chess x Swift 690) to finish in the 48th place.
