Easy and comfortable win for Irishman Daniel Coyle at the $35,000 Hollow Creek U25 Grand Prix with the 11-year-old gelding Simba from La Roque (Kannan x Allegreto) owned by Susan Grange.
Being the first U25 series presented and sponsored by Hollow Creek Farm with valid World Ranking points, it was a comfortable victory for Coyle who took a lead of 7 seconds in the jump-off. With only 4 pairs completing their two clear rounds, the second position was the American Hayley Barnhill and the 13-year-old mare Zephir (Coriano x Animo) recording a time of 43.88 seconds.
Important for young talents who from now on and up to the end of the Winter Equestrian Festival season, the Hollow Creek Farm Grands Prix will bring points to the Longines FEI Ranking.
Luis Larrazabal of Venezuela in the 12th place with a tiebreaking round of 8 fouls in 37.82 seconds with P&P Quintus Fabius (Quality 9 x Lehnsherr), while the Dominican Manuel Fernandez Hache was in the 15th place with Al Calypso (Askari x Calypso II) totaling 18 fouls in the tiebreaker as well.
