Daniel Deusser returns to the path of triumph in Lier.

The German rider and former world ranking leader Daniel Deusser was reunited with the victory in the CSI3* Lier, dominating the €24,600 Prijs Wooland’s International Sales.

After suffering a fall in the FEI Ranking last month, drop to 12th after being World Number 1 early this 2017, Daniel Deusser with the 11-year-old gelding Cortani (Cornet Obolensky x Athletico) owned by Stephex Stables, completed the speed class in 70.68 seconds securing 50 World Ranking Points.

The course designed by Marc Jozef of Belgium gave Daniel Deusser a clear lead over home riders Dirk Demeersman and Stephanie Andries by almost 1 second, completing Dirk in 71.63 seconds with the 8-year-old gelding Justice van het Reigershof (Clinton x Action-Breaker) his round and Stephanie was next to 15-year-old gelding Cicero (Darco x Bacara) in 72.90 seconds.

The top five finishers were completed by Maelle Martin of France in fourth place, their time being 74.02 seconds with 10-year-old gelding Tempo du Plix (Conterno Grande x Narcos II) and fifth place for Toshiki Masui of Japan in 74.30 seconds next to the 12-year-old mare Taloubetdarco K Z (Taloubet K x Darco).

For Latino Ranking Brazil’s Fernando Chiarotto Penteado finished in eighth-place with the 14-year-old stallion Catija Et Z in a time of 76.05 seconds, and also by Pan American Ranking the American rider Alice Oken was scoring in ninth place, accompanied by the 10-year-old gelding Hitchcock VD Broekkant (Canturo x Heartbreaker) in 76.94 seconds.
