Germany’s David Will and his stunning chestnut 16 year old mare Mic Mac du Tillard took first place in today’s opening CSI5* class against the clock. As sunbathers and spectators lined the arena, the world’s best show jumping athletes took centre stage for the first CSI5* competition of the day. Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) continued his flying form following yesterday’s speed class win, riding Guess 6 to third place, and Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer and the impressive Balou Rubin R took the second spot.

Another combination who look on form this weekend are Bassem Hassan Mohammed and Argelith Squid, who finished third in yesterday’s opening class, and 5th this afternoon. Jane Richard Philips (SUI), Daniel Deusser (GER) and Bertram Allen (IRL) all looked in good shape ahead of tomorrow’s Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Miami Beach and the riders had the chance to flex their muscles once more ahead of the $500,000 class.
