The best competition of the week at FEI worldwide events was the Abu Dhabi International Show Jumping Championship and the victory at the Grand Prix for German rider David Will.

With the participation of 30 pairs at a height of 1.60m and double phase as a valid evaluation factor for World Cup, only 4 of the competitors would complete their two fields with not faults. Led by German David Will and 17-year-old mare Mic Mac du Tillar (Cruising x Galoubet A), they would make a time of 43.29 seconds to securing 80 FEI World Ranking Points in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix which distributed 350,000 AED (little more than $95,000).

The second place was for the only representative of the Latin Ranking and getting one of the best results in her career for the Puerto Rican María Victoria Pérez. Running with the 11-year-old mare Quitana 11 (Quick Star x Lucky Lionell), the rider completed perfectly  the two phases in 43.69 seconds, only 40 hundredths of a second slower than the winner. With the result Pérez added 70 FEI Ranking Points, where she currently occupies the 793 position.

The Top 5 was completed in third place Luís Jesús Escobar of Spain in time of 44.83 seconds with Pour Le Poussage (Polytraum), followed by the last double phase of zero fouls in the fourth of Jörg Naeve of Germany with Benur Du Romet (Balou Du Rouet) in 49.95 seconds, while Saudi Abdulrahman Alrajhi and Chilli Pepper van Helle (Cumano) totaled 4 fouls in 45.57 seconds.
