Colombian rider Dayro Arroyave was inspired in the CSI3* 1M45 Qualification GP at Bonheiden, representing his first FEI victory in more than four years.
After completing a formidable jump-off round, Dayro Arroyave got his first 2017 FEI win and first since 2013, when he stopped the clock in 36.85 seconds with the 9-year-old mare Carla (Casall x Coronado) owned by De Roock Gilbert Bvba.
Being the best Latino Ranking representative the World Number 220 Dayro Arroyave, secured 50 FEI Ranking Points with his victory overcoming the Egyptian rider Abdel Said who completed his course in 37.45 seconds with the 8-year-old gelding Jumpy van de Hermitage, while not distant in third place Fracouis Jr Mathy of Belgium recorded a time of 37.56 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Cassis van de Kranenburg (Toulon x Kannan).
Also finished in the points the Latino Ranking Leader Pedro Veniss of Brazil, occupying the 16th place next to the 10-year-old stallion Tresor de Varende (Esprit de Conquete x Apple de River), accumulating 8 fouls in his jump-off. Outside the points by latinos were Colombian Mark Bluman at 29th in a 4 fouls regular round with Ivory de Roulard (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Le Tot de Semilly), Caio Carvalho Filho of Brazil was 36th with Jet Set DB (Ogano sitte x Iris landai), his fellowman Cassio Rivetti 47th with Ulahop Boy (Lamm De Fetan x Kannan) and also Brazilian Pedro de Andrade Costa completed his 4 fouls in 53rd place with Cornet 2 (Cornet Obolensky x Lancer II).
