The US world number 353 rider Devin Ryan got his first victory in the $45,000 FEI Open Welcome Québec Original.
Representing the first CSI3* Bromont FEI event, Devin Ryan dominated the jump-off round with time of 37.08 seconds next to the 8-year-old gelding Eddie Blue (Zirocco Blue VDL x Marlon) owned by Ll Show Jumpers, Llc.
After starting the regular round with 31 pairs for the course designed by Luc Musette of Belgium, Devin Ryan guided the group of 7 classified achieving with his superior advantage of 3 seconds, the first FEI victory of his career being credited 50 World Ranking Points.
Second place went to Jenn Serek of Canada alongside 9-year-old gelding Wicked (Eurocommerce Berlin x Semilly) in 40.83 seconds, while the Top 5 was completed by Americans Alison Robitaille in third place with the 11-year-old mare Serise de Bidou (Gin Tonic Star x Fusain du Defey) in 41.47 seconds, fourth place for Jonathan McCrea with the 9-year-old gelding D.Carolus (Tjungske x Calando I) in 43.10 seconds and fifth place for Andrew Kosher with the 11-year-old mare Virginia W Z (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Indoctro) in round of 4 fouls and 42.04 seconds.
