Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano was once again the fastest to take first victory at the beginning of the CSI5* Basel week.

Spraying the clock Emanuele Gaudiano on course designed by German Frank Rothenberger, he completed the speed class in a time of 56.29 seconds with the 9-year-old mare Carlotta (Chaccomo x Cento) owned by Equita Kft, marking a lead of 1.70 seconds.

Achieving 50 World Ranking Points Emanuele Guadiano with his victory, the second place was German rider Felix Hassman accompanied by the 13-year-old stallion Cayenne WZ (Claudio x Ramirado) in 57.99 seconds and third place ended in power of British rider Robert Smith with the 11-year-old gelding Cimano E (Unaniem x Chemnitz) in 58.58 seconds.

The five best classifieds of the Prize of Grosspeter Nutzfahrzeuge AG, first FEI event of the Longines CSI5* Basel were Bryan Balsiger of Switzerland in fourth place with the 15-year-old mare Poppee de Damvil (Quidam de Revel x Rox de la Touche) in time of 58.85 seconds and fifth place Philippe Rozier of France in 58.94 seconds with the 13-year-old gelding Rever de Kergane (Hornet Rose x Elan de la Cour).

By Latino Ranking Yuri Mansur of Brazil completed in 4 fouls and 65.81 seconds his journey with the 10-year-old stallion Vitiki (Valentino x For Expo) in a distant 34th place, while by Pan American Ranking the American rider Andrew Kocher next to the 14-year-old stallion Quarto Mail (Cardento x Alligator Fontaine) totaled 8 fouls in 47th place.
