The first day of the CSI5* Madrid Horse Week beginning with the speed class and new victory as usual for Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano.
Always fast in each of his presentations, Emanuele Gaudiano marked the usual pace to accredit another victory in speed class and ensure 50 World Ranking Points, as well as the one-two for Italy with his countryman Luca Maria Moneta.
Appearing with the 8-year-old mare Carlotta (Chaccomo x Cento) owned by Equita Kft, Emanuele Gaudiano recorded a time of 53.09 seconds on course designed by Spaniard Javier Trenor, thus being the best in a 50 pairs class.
The second place went to Italian Luca María Moneta and his 16-year-old gelding Neptune Brecourt (Cavalor Cumano x Kayack) in 54.04 seconds, followed more distantly in third place by Dutch rider Marc Houtzager with the 11-year-old mare Sterrehof’s Bylou (Phin Phin x Niveau) in time of 57.62 seconds.
For the Top 5 another Italian rider was among the best classified with Piergiorgio Bucci taking fourth place with the 10-year-old gelding Heartbreaker vd Achterhoe (Bentley van de Heffinck x Catango Z) in 57.85 seconds and fifth place for Finnish rider Juulia Jyläs with the 11-year-old gelding Copain Z (Calvino Z x Creool) in 58.11 seconds.
By Latino Ranking Yuri Mansur of Brazil was the best classified in 23rd place, being out of the points in course of 4 faults and 57.10 seconds next to the 10-year-old gelding Inferno (Incolor (old) x Italic des Salines ( sf)), while Colombian rider Carlos López also knocks down a pole for 4 fouls, accompanied by the 10-year-old mare Cuplandra (Upgrade x Metall) ranked 29th.
