Again the Italian rider Emanuele Guadiano showed his great powers as one of the fastest riders in the world at the moment, to get the first victory of CSI 5 * Jumping Antwerpen in Belgium.
The course designed by Luc Musette with a total of 38 pairs that encouraged the competition, ended up delivering €50,000 among for the top 12, where winner Emanuele Guadiano got €16,500 plus 50 World Ranking Points. Introducing himself with 8-year-old gelding Gaultier (Chacco Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) completing their tour in a time of 67.35 seconds, gaining a lead of 1.20 seconds over Brazilian and best representative of the Latino Ranking Pedro Veniss, occupying the second place to take 45 FEI Ranking Points in company of 12-year-old mare For Felicila (For Pleasure x Espri) in 68.55 seconds.
The Top 5 finishers were third-placed home rider Constant van Paesschen with 11-year-old gelding Calore van de Helle (Casall x Lord) in 68.62 seconds, fourth place by Frenchman Patrice Delaveau in 68.82 seconds with 12-year-old gelding Aquila Hdc (Ovidius x Bollvorm’s Lauriston) and fifth place another representative of Latino Ranking Dayro Arroyave of Colombia with a time of 70.94 seconds, giving him 30 World Ranking Points with 9-year-old gelding Uppercut Libellule (Jarnac SF x Papillon Rouge).
Among the best seeds of the competition were World No. 2 Kent Farrington of United States of America occupying the 22nd place, Christian Ahlmann of Germany World No. 4 in box 16th and Canadian Eric Lamaze World No. 5 in 13th position.
