The first class of the Big Tour CSIO5* Sopot was for the Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano, who once again demonstrated his great qualities as one of the fastest riders in the world, dominating the speed class.
Recording a time of 58.05 seconds, Emanuele Gaudiano was presented with the 8-year-old stallion Chalou (Chacco Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) owned by Equita Kft. Kiss Klaudia, to take 50 World Ranking Points and dominating with some ease the course designed by German Olaf Petersen Jr.
Being an extensive class of 90 pairs, the second place was of Belgian rider Thierry Goffinet with the 11-year-old gelding Artuur JH Z (Andiamo x Baloubet du Rouet) in time of 59.73 seconds, to set next to Gaudiano the only ones that lowered the 60 second barrier. In third place Jaroslav Skrzyczynski of Poland, would face the hosts with a time of 60.03 seconds alongside the 9-year-old mare Quintella (Sanvaro x Baloubet du Rouet) and for fourth place Olympic medalist Cian O’Connor of Ireland, completed his course in 60.51 seconds with the 9-year-old mare Cybel II (Varo x Lancer).
Lillie Keenan and Laura Kraut were among the top performers by Pan American Ranking, where they were ranked fifth and sixth, where Lillie Keenan performed with 12-year-old gelding Fibonacci (For Feeling x VDL Corlando) owned by Chansonette Farm LLC. to finished in 61.01 seconds, while Olympic medalist Laura Kraut did it in 61.07 seconds with the 10-year-old gelding Constable II (Harley VDL x Lupicor) owned by Cherry Knoll Farm.
Things were not very good for the only representative of Latino Ranking Cassio Rivetti of Brazil, knocking down two poles to total 8 faults, which sent him to the 74th position with the 9-year-old stallion Ut Majeur de Brecey (Diamant de Semilly x Quouglof Rouge).
