The Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano guided the Global Champions League – First Competition in Doha, winning the speed class by 33 hundredths of second.
Emanuele Gaudiano showed his classic speed on course designed by Uliano Vezzani for 48 pairs, where the winner take 80 World Ranking points.
Stopping the clock in 73.34 seconds with the 10-year-old stallion Chalou (Chacco Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) owned by Equita Kft, Emanuele Gaudiano showed the way in what turned out to be a fervent fight against the French rider Julien Epaillard, who took second place in 73.67 seconds with the 10-year-old stallion Virtuose Champeix (Rubins des Bruyeres x Avec Espoir) owned by EARL Haras des Cours.
For the third place the former World Ranking leader Kevin Staut of France finished in time of 74.32 seconds with the 10-year-old gelding Viking d’La Rousserie (Quincy / Quaprice x Apache d’Adriers) owned by M. Hubert Beck, fourth place for Alberto Zorzi of Italy in 76.46 seconds with the 11-year-old mare Danique (Zento x Hamlet) owned by Athina Onassis, Victory Equestrian and closed the Top 5 in clear Italian-French domain, the also former World Ranking leader Simon Delestre with the 14-year-old gelding Chesall Zimequest (Casall x Concerto 4) owned by M.Benoit Zimmermann et MSH SA.
By the Latin Ranking Marlon Modolo Zanotelli of Brazil finished in eighth place and follow by Belgian rider Jos Verlooy to take the GCL’s lead with Team Monaco Aces, appearing the Brazilian rider with the 10-year-old gelding VDL Edgar M (Arezzo VDL x Marlon) owned by VDL Stud & E.Meijer and Verlooy’s doit next to the 14-year-old stallion Caracas (Casall x Colman) owned by Eurohorse BVBA.
