The Mexican rider Ernesto Canseco achieved the best result in his career, adding his first FEI victory at the Gemeente De Wolden Grand Prix in the Netherlands.
World number 986 Ernesto Canseco had a perfect and convincing show to secure 50 World Ranking Points with the 10-year-old mare Celebrity VDL (Indoctro x Emilion) owned by Vdl Stud, after completing the first of two double clear round in 43.34 seconds and a greater advantage to the 4 seconds on his closest follower, in a class that distribute € 24,600 for the 12 best classified.
While Ernesto Canseco collects a total of 11 internationals victories, there is no doubt that the one of today had a very special flavor when he overcame home rider Lars Kuster and his 10-year-old mare Cassandra (Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve x Goodwil).
Completed the top five Spencer Roe of Britain in third place with 4 fouls and 41.49 seconds with the 14-year-old gelding Wonder Why (Padinus x Laurin) for fourth place Roy Weel of the Netherlands in 4 fouls with 42.72 seconds accompanied by 8-year-old gelding Sterrehof’s Eddie Blue (Mr. Blue x Larome) and fifth-place was Lucas Porter of the United States of America, registering a field of 4 fouls in 43.12 seconds with the 13-year-old mare B Once Z (Baloubet Du Rouet x Lavaletto).
The Grand Prix had the participation of the Dutch World Champion Jeroen Dubbeldam, but completed his regular round in 8 faults to finish 20th with the 11-year-old mare Gioia van het Neerenbosch (Nagano x Skippy II).
