The Mexican rider Eugenio Garza was simply the best of CSI3* Langley, winning the $36,500 CSI3* Cypress Point Stables Cup.
Presenting with the 9-year-old gelding Victer Finn DH Z (Va Vite x Stakkato), the winner Eugenio Garza secured with his formidable and fast exhibition in the jump-off 50 World Ranking Points, represented his fourth 2017 FEI victory.
The course designed by Canadian Peter Holmes had a regular round with 60 pairs, then giving way to 10 classified led by Eugenio Garza and surpassing the American rider Mandy Porter with her 12-year-old stallion Coral Reef Follow Me II (For Pleasure x Sandro), while French Olympic medalist and world champion Eric Navet finished third with the 10-year-old gelding Catypso (Catoki x Calypso II).
Being the only representative of Latino Ranking and currently occupying the 12th place in that Ranking, Eugenio Garza world number 163 was the second FEI triumph of the year with Victer Finn DH Z.
Completed the Top 5 Canadian Jenn Serek in fourth place accompanied by the 9-year-old gelding Wicked (Eurocommerce Berlin x Diamant de Semilly) and fifth-place also Canadian Ben Asselin with the 11-year-old mare Wahrhaftige CR (Clearway x Coronado).
