German rider Felix Hassman and his 13-year-old gelding Sl Brazonado (SL Baluarte x Silvestre) won the Prize of Canton Basel-Landchaft at CSI Basel.
The speed class on course designed by German Frank Rothenberger had as main protagonist also German Felix Hassman with the 13-year-old Coudelaris Souza Leao & Reinhard Hassman’s horse, to overcome a group of 46 participating riders plus Felix Hassman.
World number 46 Felix Hassman was the winner of 50 World Ranking points in the opening of Longines CSI Basel final day, marking a 2 second lead against Italian rider Luca Maria Moneta and his 17-year-old gelding Connery (Cordobes II x Polydor) ending in 58.27 seconds.
Main figure this week in each of the disputed classes and even winner of one of them, Marcus Ehning of Germany ranked third in time of 59.28 seconds with 10-year-old mare Calanda (Calido I x Chasseur I), followed by Niklaus Rutschi of Switzerland in fourth place with his 11-year-old mare Pipilotta (Orlando x Gonzo I) in 59.59 seconds and fifth Hans-Dieter Dreher of Germany recorded a time of 59.87 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Tiopepe des Champs (Ogrion des Champs x Echo des Forets II).
By Latino Ranking Yuri Mansur of Brazil totaled 5 fouls in 69.11 seconds accompanied by the 11-year-old gelding Inferno (Incolor x Italic des Salines), to be without a chance of points when finished in 26th place.
