German rider Felix Hassmann extended with his victory the home riders command in the CSI5* Leipzig, showing the way in the speed class.
Securing 50 World Ranking Points Felix Hassmann completed his course in 55.19 seconds, under course design by Frank Rothenberger, appearing with the 13-year-old gelding SL Brazonado (Sl Baluarte x Silvestre) owned by Coudelaris Souza Leao & Reinhard Hassman.
While Felix Hassmann showed the way for the rest of his adversaries, the difference for first to third place remained very close with Italian rider Alberto Zorzi taking second place with his 13-year-old mare Florette van het Lambroeck (For Pleasure x Baloubet du Rouet) in 55.75 seconds and third place also Italian rider Piergiorgio Bucci with the 11-year-old gelding Heartbreaker vd Achterhoe (Bentley vd Heffinck x Catango Z) achieved a time of 55.90 seconds.
The five best classified was Maurice Tebbel of Germany finished in fourth place with the 11-year-old mare Camilla PJ (Calme x Picard) in 58.49 seconds, leaving the fifth place for French rider Aldrich Cheronnet accompanied by the 12-year-old stallion Atlantys By Wisbech (eT) (Argentinus x Darco) in time of 58.60 seconds.
On one night nothing productive for the Latin Ranking riders and Panamerican Ranking riders, Yuri Mansur of Brazil finished with a time of 92.02 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Inferno (Incolor (old) x Italic Des Salines (SF)) in 37th place, while the American rider Reed Kessler with the 13-year-old mare KS Stakki (Stakkato Gold x Silvio I) was retiring.
