For the second sleeve of FEI Nations Cup Jumping 2017 Europe Division 1, again a tiebreak was necessary to determine the winner, resulting the loca’s France, who took the maximum distinction.
Composed by Cedric Angot with Saxo de La Cour (Tlaloc M x Jalisco B), Kevins Staut with Reveur of Hurtebise HDC (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Capricieux des 6 Censes), Roger Yves Bost with Sangria du Coty (Quaprice Bois Margot x Muguet du Manoir) and Penelope Leprevost with Flora de Mariposa (For Pleasure x Power Light) equaled accumulating 8 fouls alongside Sweden, who had Peder Fredricson with H&M Christian K (Namelus R x Calvados), Malin Baryard-Johnsson with H&M Cue Channa 42 (Cardento 933 x Robin Z), Angelie von Essen with Newton Abbot (Converter x Indoctro) and Henrik von Eckermann with Copperphild (Cornet Obolensky x Pilot), where they faced to break up Staut by French and Fredricson by the Swedes.
Achieving a time of 35.74 seconds in what would be the third perfect round of Kevin Staut, secured the victory for his country, result that puts them at the top of the leaderboard with accumulated 190 points against 150 of Germany, owners of second place in the table. For Sweden that finished in 8 fouls and 38,02 seconds their tiebreaker made by Peder Fredricson, now accumulating 140 points are placed in third.
Turning to the rest of the teams, the final order of Nations Cup in La Baule was with Ireland in third place accumulating 14 fouls, fourth Switzerland with 18 fouls, fifth Belgium with 19 fouls, Spain in sixth with 22 fouls, seventh Germany with 29 fouls and eighth Netherlands with accumulated of 31 faults.
On the other hand special mention for the five riders who achieved their two clear rounds where they were Kevin Staut (FRA), Penelope Peprevost (FRA), Peder Fredricson (SWE), Shane Breen (IRL) and Paul Estermann (SUI).
