Austrian rider Gerfried Puck commanded the rebellion for his country, taking the victory and finishing one-two next to Markus Saurugg in the CSI3* Herneacova.
Disputing the €50,000 1.50m Grand Prix CSI3* Casa Rusu in a course designed by Michel Ismalun with participation of 37 pairs, Gerfried Puck marked the fastest time with the jump-off with the 11-year-old mare Bo (Indorado x Quick Star) in time of 48.22 seconds, being the only one of the classified, that lowered the barrier of 50 seconds.
With the result for the World Number 188 Gerfried Puck claimed 50 World Ranking Points, commanding Austrian one-two with Markus Saurugg, who was presented with the 14-year-old mare 14 Texas I (Acorado x Coriano) recording a time of 50.34 seconds, thus becoming the main figures of the Romanian Grand Prix.
Completed the final order and top five classified Baláis Horváth of Hungary with the 14-year-old gelding Zordon (Timorrak des isles x Gringo) in 50.66 seconds occupying the third place. For the fourth place was Taizo Sugitani of Japan, FEI event’s winner this week, marked a time of 51.89 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Diamant (Ukato x Ekstein) and fifth place for Zuzana Zelinková of the Czech Republic, accompanied by the 14-year-old stallion Caleri II (Calido I x Leonid) in 53.58 seconds.
