With a strong jump-off the Netherlands Gert-Jan Bruggink was win tonight, beating with a clear advantage to the German Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, who escorted him in second place with more than 1.50 seconds advantage.
In court designed by Franz Madl and Adi Appe of Austria a total of 38 pairs ripped regular round and then give passes to jump-off with 8 clear rounds led by Bruggink. The winner was presented with MCB Elke (Lux x Peter Pan) completing their court in time of 42.25 seconds, while the three-time world champion Michaels-Beerbaum and Comanche (Coupe de Coeur x Baloubet du Rouet) achieved the second and final double clear round competition in 43.72 seconds.
The third place went to the Swiss Paul Estermann and Pepsi Lord (Lord Pezi x Santander H) with the second fastest time of the jump-off, but a takedown rail for a total of four faults in 42.75 seconds. A similar situation was experienced by the fellow rider Clarissa Crota with Conte Bellini (Cornet Obolensky x Ramiro) in time of 45.71 seconds to close the top five in fifth place.
For Latinos Rider turned out to be the most prominent Brazilian Yuri Mansur and Babylotte (Dollar du Murier x Concorde), with an excellent clear regular round to give him the pass to jump-off, then in time 44.97 seconds and 4 fouls finish the fourth place. For the Mexican Santiago Lambre things did not go the same, to the point that he was forced to retire during his regular round with horse Johnny Boy (Johnny Boy II x Silvio I).
