Dutchman Gert Jan Bruggink shone with his 11-year-old gelding Connelly 2 (Calvados Z x Jalisco B), clinching the win in a tiebreaker round, after stopping the clock in 44.73 seconds to earn 50 World Ranking Points.
Finishing in second position two weeks ago at Lanaken Grand Prix, Dutchman rider managed to cut the streak that brought Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano, who finally finished in a distant 19th position. For second place German Mathis Schwentker recorded a time of 45.26 seconds with 13-year-old stallion For Success (For Pleasure x Stakkato), followed in third place by another Dutchman Wout-Jan Van Der Schans in 46.82 seconds with 14-year-old gelding Capetown (Oklund x Carlino). Completing the last double clear round of the race and tying in third position with Van Der Schans, German Philip Weishaupt with 10-year-old mare Asathir (Diamond of Semilly x Papillon Rougue).
The class that distributed €30,600 left Latino Ranking’s representatives with no chance to appear, where Mexican Enrique González, the only one that finished his course in 55th position along with 13-year-old gelding Quilebo Du Tillard (For Pleasure x Quat’Sous ) totaling 13 fouls, while Argentine Jose Maria Larocca with Cornet du Lys (Cornet Obolensky x Champion du Lys) retired.
