The first FEI event in the final day of the CSI 4* Jumping Amsterdam was dominated by Italian Gianni Govoni and his 14-year-old mare Winn Winn (Chin Chin x Wagenaar) wearing the tiebreaker at a time of 30.81 seconds.
Taking 50 World Ranking points with his victory, Govoni liquidated homemaker Marc Houtzager and 11-year-old mare Sterrehof’s Bylou (Phin Phin x Niveau) who finished their round in 30.98 seconds, very close to the winner, but not enough to delight the public. Veteran French rider Patricie Delaveau would take third place with 16-year-old stallion Carinjo HDC (Cascavelle vs. Landgraf I) stopping the clock 7-cent second more slower than Houtzager.
For the Latin and Pan Am Ranking two of representatives failed to finish within the FEI Ranking points, being Ernesto Canseco from Mexico the best placed in the 20th position with the 9-year-old gelding Davall (Zavall VDL x Indorado), while the Argentine Jose Maria Larocca escorted him in the 21st position with the 13-year-old stallion Cornet Du Lys (Cornet Obolensky x Champion Du Lys) exceeding both riders the agreed time for the regular round, being penalized with 1 foul each.
