46-year-old British rider Guy Williams demonstrated his qualities at the €30,000 Prix de La Ville de Deauville for a victory on the second day of CSI3* Deauville.
The course designed by Frederic Cottier for 38 pairs in speed class, was guided by Guy Williams next to the 12-year-old stallion Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo van ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) recording a time of 65.17 seconds and to secure 50 World Ranking Points.
For his part from the second to fourth place was for the French riders, who were led by Grégory Cottard with the 12-year-old mare Regate d’Aure (Robin II Z x Drakkar des Hutins) in 66.32 seconds, third place Titouzan Schumacher with the 10-year-old stallion Atome Z (Amadeus Z*brimbelles x Toulon) in 66.79 seconds and fourth place Mathieu Billot with 8-year-old gelding Joe van Terbeke (Cooper van de Heffinck x Wandor van de Mispelaere) in 69.53 seconds.
Completed the top five finishers in fifth place Daniel Nelson of Great Britain, completing his round in 72.46 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Major Delacour (Ksar-Sitte x Leopard).
For the Pan American Ranking and Latino Ranking US Catherine Nicole Tyree finished with FEI Ranking Points in 16th place next to 13-year-old gelding Enjoy Louis (Coriano x Kannan) and Federico Fernandez from Mexico completed a field of 8 fouls in 68.05 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Bolt (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Type d’Elle), to finish in 25th place.
