German rider Hans-Dieter Dreher consolidated a superb jump-off course to secure the car as first prize in the CSI3* Donaueschingen Grand Prix.
Leading the one-two German by Hans-Dieter Dreher, he completed his jump-off round in 40.79 seconds, also adding 50 World Ranking Points with the 9-year-old mare Berlinda (Berlin x Gento) owned by Roland Zanotelli, while Laura Klaphake took second place with the 9-year-old mare Catch Me If You Can (Catoki x Acordplus) in 41.27 seconds.
Being only three double clear rounds in the class, the third and last double clear was for Julia Houtzager-Kayser of Austria next to the 13-year-old stallion Sterrehof’s Cayetano Z (Caretano Z x Cor de la Bruyere), completing its course in 42.68 seconds and the fastest pitch was the Dutch Gert-Jan Bruggink in 39.81 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Charmeur (Cristallo x Oldenburg), occupying the fourth place.
With today’s result Hans-Dieter Dreyer collects 56 FEI victories in his career, where he currently holds the World Number 120th.
For the Pan American Ranking American rider Wilton Porter participated, exceeding the time of the field to total 6 fouls in 17th place, remaining on the edge of the standings by points with the 10-year-old stallion Caletto Cabana (Cassini I x Capecanaveral).
