The second leg of 2017 Longines Global Champions Tour began in Miami Beach, FL with the adjusted victory of Dutchman Harrie Smolders.

For the Latino Ranking Alberto Michan of Mexico was the only one that finished within the FEI Ranking points in the 12th place, completing his presentation in 30.62 seconds with 10-year-old mare Handy van HD (Tinka’s Bpy x Nabab de Reve), while out of the points was Brazilian Yuri Mansur in box 24th with Babylote (Dollar du Murier x Concorde) totaling 4 faults in the double phase, Carlos López of Colombia exceeded the agree time of first phase being penalized with 1 foul with Ulhane de Conde (Jarnac x ​​Corland) in 29th place and Brazilian Eduardo Menezes with 6 faults in the first phase was 50th with Quintol (Quintender x Cento).

For the PanAm Ranking also finished with World Ranking Points US rider Audrey Coulter in 7th place in a clear double phase of 27.56 seconds with 10-year-old gelding Cas 2 (Indoctro x Numero Uno).
