Henrik von Eckermann of Sweden secured his second victory of the week, to become the first rider to repeat during the development of CSI 5* Longines Jumping International de La Baule.
With a total of 47 pairs, the €25,000 Prix du Département de Loire Atlantique was played, where Henrik von Eckermann took 50 points to the World Ranking, after completing his two phases clear and 24.88 seconds with 10-year-old stallion Chacanno (Chacco-Blue x Kannan) owned by Darier Bertrand. For second place Zoe Conter of Belgium next to 11-year-old mare Soory of L’Hallali owned by Stephex Stables, setting a time of 25.50 seconds and only 10 hundredths of a second slower in third place, Harold Boisset of France in company of 10-year-old mare T’Obetty du Domaine (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Diams du Grasset).
For Top 5 the group completed in fourth place by German Felix Hassman next to 10-year-old mare Balance 30 (Balou du Rouet x Landadel) in time of 26.05 seconds and fifth place Shane Breen of Ireland, accompanied by 9-year-old stallion Ipswich van de Wolfsakker (Carmenar de Muze x Quick Star) in 26.55 seconds.
For Latino Ranking was Brazilian rider Pedro Muylaert getting World Ranking points by taking 14th place with gelding 10-year-old Chacote (Chacco-Blue x Quick Star), recording a time of 28.94 seconds. Very close were Pedro Veniss of Brazil and José María Larocca of Argentina, but not enough to get FEI Ranking points, being Veniss with 9-year-old mare Cheindira (Chagall van de Burggrave x Darco) who was closer in the post 17th with a time of 30.63 seconds and Larocca with 13-year-old stallion Cornet du Lys (Cornet Obolensky x Champion du Lys) escorted him with a time of 36.66 seconds in the 18th position.
