The popular Belgian rider Gregory Wathelet (BEL) stole the show ahead of the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Antwerp, with a stunning speed class win with his bay 12 year old gelding Quasi Modo Z.
Compatriot Gudrun Patteet (BEL) led the competition early on, after a phenomenal round on her young eight year old gelding Sea Coast Calypso v.d.Zuuthoeve. She was pipped to the post by Italy’s speed demon Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Carlotta 232 who crossed the line in 62.54s.
But it was Gregroy who rode a phenomenal round, galloping to each fence and crossing the line in 62.31s. The class was the final round ahead of the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Antwerp, kicking off at 18:45 local.
