The CSI3* Baltica week could not start better, when home riders led by Hubert Kierznowski secured one-two alongside Krzysztof Ludwiczak.
The class that had 48 pairs of which 25 riders got their tiebreaker, Hubert Kierznowski with the 13-year-old gelding Denver Z (Dutch Capitol x Boreas) completed the first of twelve double clear rounds on course designed by Gérard Lachat from Switzerland.
Although the actions remained very even in what was undoubtedly a second class by the high number of classified riders, Hubert Kierznowski completed his tour in 34.08 seconds and his compatriot Krzysztof Ludwiczak escorted him in 34.51 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Stalando 2 (Stakkatol x Lando), ensuring both competitors 50 and 45 World Ranking Points each.
Followed in the final order Stephanie Holmé of Sweden in third place, getting a time of 36.34 seconds with the 11-year-old mare Flip’s Little Sparrow (Cardento 933 x Robin Z 723), fourth place for Kamil Grzelcyk of Poland in 36.42 seconds with the 10-year-old gelding Wibaro (Balou du Rouet x Graf Quidam) and fifth place Italian Luca Maria Moneta with the 14-year-old mare Percine Dream (Jarnac x Alcamera) in 36.80 seconds.
