Ireland’s squad added another victory when it came to Nations Cup, when they managed to dominate a very complicated class at the CSIO3* Drammen in Norway.
With the participation of 13 nations, the second round of the FEI Nations Cup Jumping Europe Division 2 was held, which after today’s results is dominated by Belgium with 180 points. For the winners who are part of Europe Division 1, they were represented by Alexander Butler (RT/9), Mark Mcauley (5/1), Cameron Hanley (1/5) and Captain Geoff Curran (4/4). Secured the victory Cap. Curran next to 13-years-old gelding Ringwood Glen (Arkansas x Kilglass Pennistone), being the great total of 20 fouls with each round of 10 by Team Ireland.
For the second place Belgium integrated by Olivier Philippaerts (4/0), Niels Bruynseels (8/4), Pieter Devos (5/0) and Gregory Wathelet (13/4), being the great favorites accumulated 21 fouls, where they completed a first round for the forgetfulness of 17 fouls and a solid second round of 4 fouls, not being enough to win the highest award.
They were accompanied in the second round by France in third place with 24 fouls having the only double clear round of the class on part of Alexis Deroubaix with 10-year-old gelding Timon d’aude (Mylord Carthago x Dragar des Hutins), fourth place Netherlands totalizing 29 fouls with best Jur Vrieling (4/0), fifth Great Britain with 33 fouls and best rider Jessica Dimmock (0/4), sixth Poland with 34 fouls, seventh Sweden accumulating 45 fouls and eighth Luxembourg with 48 fouls.
Completed the Nations Cup, Italy (22) in ninth place, Norway (24) was tenth, Turkey with 42 fouls in 11th place, Finland 12th with 45 fouls and Denmark was eliminated.
